Derek Carr is an American football quarterback who plays for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL).
He was drafted by the Raiders in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and has since become one of the most talented and consistent quarterbacks in the league.
Carr was born on March 28, 1991 in Fresno, California. He played college football at Fresno State, where he broke several school records and was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2013.
In his first season with the Raiders, Carr showed promise as a quarterback, setting a rookie record for completion percentage and throwing 21 touchdowns.
However, it was in his second season where Carr really began to establish himself as one of the league’s top quarterbacks.
